Like Happy 40th Chad! Put away the Rubik's Cube and party on. The hair was big, the spandex, leg warmers and shoulder pads made a come back for one night only. Who brought the Aqua Net? What a fun night. We started with dinner catered by Chad's favorite restaurant, Wahoos. Then it got wild as we played an 80's trivia game and Name that Tune. My (I heart Jake Ryan) T-shirt that I ordered didn't arrive in time so I opted for the off the shoulder look. I was impressed with the array of outfits inspired by Run DMC to Madonna.
Chad is a huge hockey fan, actually he loves all sports. His team is the Colorado Avalanche, because that is where he grew up, but he has recently become an Anaheim Ducks fan. When we went to the game for his birthday (he likes to have a birthday month) he had a hard time deciding which team's jersey to buy. He decided on the Ducks jersey because his favorite player Selanne #8 from Finland, where Chad served his mission, is a Duck. He did cheer for both teams though. It was an exciting game with 3 overtimes. The Ducks pulled off the win in the Final shoot out. It was fun watching Chad get so excited. There is nothing like actually being there. Chad now proudly wears his jersey at home when he watches the games on T.V.
