More March Memories

The Daddy/Daughter dance is always a fun event held in March at the Elementary School. I bought the girls their Easter dresses early so they could wear them to the dance. Of course I had to match Chad's tie to their ball gowns. Each girl was able to request a song for the D.J. to play. Emily requested "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves and Kate requested "Celebrate Good Times" by Cool & the Gang. These are their favorite songs from from their Kid's Bop C.D. After the dance they joined a group of friends from church at the Outback Restaurant for dinner. Chad said Emily fell asleep in the car on the way there. She falls asleep at the stroke of 8 p.m. Kate is our little night owl. It is a struggle trying to make her stay in bed at night.

Chad took me to see the musical "Wicked" for my birthday. I had taken the girls to see the play in October for their birthdays. They wore their Halloween costumes. Kate was Elfaba and Emily was Dorothy. They had performed songs from Wicked in a children's theatre group and they were just as excited as I was about seeing the musical. We had 3rd row center orchestra seats. They decided to go to Wicked instead of having a friends birthday party this year. We went with my sister Rachel and cousin Madison.
When my birthday came around all I wanted to do was experience Wicked with Chad. I knew that he would love it. We went to Ruth Chris' Steak House for dinner in downtown Hollywood before the show.
It was a
"Wicked" birthday!
