It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Our December calendar is always packed with fun festive activities. Here is a peak at some of our Pre-Christmas fun.
What better way to kick off the Christmas season than a girlfriends shopping trip. Tai Pan just opened up in Cali and I think I heard the Herald Angels sing when I walked through the entrance. As a Christmas present to me Kate & Emily sang in a Childrens Christmas Choir. Their group was invited to sing at the Christmas Tree Lighting at the San Marcos Civic Center. We enjoyed the girl's performance and then explored the craft booths.I love my Christmas China and I love keeping a formal table set up in the dining room during the month of December. We invited my sisters, nephew and their families to join us for Sunday dinner. The Kids Table. We love inviting the missionaries over for dinner.Kate & Emily decorated Gingerbread Houses with cousin Pay Pay.
Cousin Summer danced in the Nutcracker for the first time this year. Danny Tidwell from "So You Think You Can Dance" was one of the principle dancers.
Kate and the Activity Day girls served at the Relief Society Christmas dinner. I hosted a table and participated in the program. I sang Mary's Lullaby with a group of sisters and shared a special Christmas memory about my Grandma's Hope Chest. The girls wanted to go to Build A Bear for one of their Christmas presents. So we arranged a Girl's Night Out. Kate made a panda and Emily made a peguin. Jingle Bell Rock plays when you squeeze their tummies. We were asked to perform at the Ward Christmas Party. The Clifford and Hazen families performed a "Once There was a Snowman" Medley. Last year we performed "Feliz Navidad."
Santa made a visit and brought his list of children who were NICE.
One of the Pre-Christmas events that will forever remain with me was the privilege I had to lead the Stake Youth Choir and their leaders at the San Diego Temple. I love being able to work at the temple once a month as a receptionist.I threw an end of the season party for Kate's Soccer Team at Rossis' Pizza. I made a DVD of highlights for each girl and we showed it at the party. Who knew that the soccer season would still be going on in December and it's not over yet.
One of the most fun events was a Glittericious Party planned for all the girlfriends. Thank you Shay and Malisa! We made the cutest glitter/bling cups to hold our soda. I think it will become all the rage.I love being Homeroom Mom for Emily's class. We had a memorable party that included making blankets for foster children to take to their new homes. The children also enjoyed a book exchange, made ornaments, jingle ball necklaces, played holiday bingo and decorated a human christmas tree (their classmate).
