Detour to Utah

Chad had a business meeting in Utah so we decided to continue our vacation and stop for a few days to visit friends and play. My heart aches a little when we drive through our old neighborhood. I can't believe it has already been over two years since we moved to San Diego. My friends all look the same but I had to do a double take on the kids. They are all growing up so fast.
We stayed in our condo in Orem so we were close to my favorite places. We took a drive up Provo Canyon to Sundance. Did you know they brought back the Sundance Summer Theatre? We also had to hit the Scera Pool.
We met up with Mom and Dad Clifford at the Pioneer Parade in Salt Lake. Then spent some time at Heritage Park where the This is the Place monument stands. Chad's great, great..... grandfather Isaac Perry Decker is featured on one of the monuments there so we had to snap some photogs. He traveled to the Salt Lake Valley with the first pioneer company. He is the little boy with the dog (below). I bought the girls some bonnets so they could dress up like pioneers but Andrew decided that he wanted to wear the bonnet for the trip home. He refused to take it off. He wore it for four hours on the way to St. George.

More Utah Fun!

This was a great post, until I saw those BLUE shirts. Ugh. Ruined the whole thing! :)

You guys have been busy! Your family is so beautiful, and I am envious that you live so close to all our favorite places in the West. Not to mention the beach in So Cal. I know, I know, we are happy out here, but I miss CA and I think I always will!!
