Mormon Night at the Padres Game

Could we love the Padres any more? They stink right now~Yes, you read it right~but we still love them. Besides, we would never miss Mormon Night.
A
local ward's Boy Scout Troop presented the flag and the missionaries signed the National Anthem. They also gave us a big welcome on the Jumbo Tron.
We bought tickets for the cheap seats out on the lawn because they were offered at a great deal. And what Mormon doesn't love a bargain?
My sister Rachel and our girlfriend Nikol joined us with their families. It was one big blanket picnic with plenty of $1 hot dogs, another bargain. They made up for it though on the price of the ice cream. How can one resist ice cream served in a Padres cap.
We saw our friends the Pennocks from our old ward in Utah. They were here for their annual family reunion in Mission Bay. Love seeing old friends!
The kids had fun running around and rolling down the hills. Anyone have a secret for getting out bright green grass stains?
Well, we lost the game to the Arizona D-Backs but we made some memories. I guess the Mormons didn't pray hard enough for the Padres.

Man, I wish we had gotten in sooner on getting tickets...we really wanted to come. Looks like it was so much fun!

I LOVE baseball -- seriously -- although I have never been to a Padres game. Our friend plays for the Orioles (he's LDS, too), so we get to go when we want. I always want to go more than Chris does -- a product of having so many brothers growing up, I suppose.

Thanks for all your comments and well-wishes on the blog. It is so fun to be connected with you guys now!
