Bend It Like Clifford

Soccer Mania has officially begun. Kate and Emily are both playing again this year. Kate is on the "Red Hot Chili Peppers" and Emily is a "Coyote." At Emily's games we all howl like a coyote when a goal is scored.
The girls are both #8 so it is easy to keep track of them out on the field.
Kate and Cousin Maddie were lucky enough to be placed on the same team. I am lucky enough to be their Team Mom. My responsibilities include; making sure our team banner is displayed at every game, organizing the snack schedule, party planning, and emailing game and practice reminders. I put together a cute Team Web Site so we could post pictures and view the team calendar for the season. It keeps me organized and it's fun for the girls to look at their pictures from the previous game.
We really enjoy watching the girls play. Chad and I get a little to crazy on the sidelines though. We leave the game a little hoarse from all of the screaming.
Andrew enjoys stealing the flags from the line boys and pulling out the stakes that mark the borders of the field. It is a challenge keeping one eye on the game and the other on Buddy. He has made it on to the field during play a few too many times and the season has just begun. We are lucky that we have cousin R.J. there for at least one of the games. Buddy just loves his cousin and follows him wherever he goes.
Emily's first game was today. Kate played her second game and she scored her first goal of the season. She was so excited!
I hope the girls continue to improve throughout the season and learn to "Bend it like Beckham."
