Our Birthday Month

October is our birthday month (I am a little behind on my posts). Emily turned 7 on the 1st and Kate turned 10~a decade old~on the 13th. Here are some photos from our celebrations.

On their birthday we surprise the girls with breakfast in bed. They love Cinnamon Rolls. Then we look at their Baby Book together and talk about the day they were born. Then they open presents.
We allow the girls to chose where they want t go for dinner on their birthday. This year they chose Chuck E. Cheese.
Ice Cream cake is the girls favorite. After making a wish and blowing out the candles we chant "Take a Bite!" A Melendez Family tradition.
Emily chose to go to the movies to see "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" for her party. We invited the cousins and Gardner kids. "Ay, Ay, Ay!"Kate chose to celebrate her birthday at Disneyland with the Hazen cousins and Gardner kids. Kate and her cousin Madison have birthdays only four days apart. We also met up with my girlfriend Melissa and her fun family who were vacationing from Utah. Disneyland was crowded that day due to U.E.A (Utah Education Association). We saw tons of Utah plates in the parking garage. U.E.A. is also an acronym for~Utah Enters Anaheim.
The Clifford Cousins (Kyle & Jenna's Family) were visiting us the week of Emily's birthday so we allowed the girls to play hookie and go to Disneyland, again. They picked up their "Happy Birthday" buttons at Guest Services on Main Street. All of the Disney employees wished them a happy birthday everywhere they went.

I love October and all the birthdays we get to celebrate! I think I gained 5 lbs. from all the birthday cake alone. You are such a good mommy to make their big days so special!

Um, Can I celebrate my birthday at your house this year? You guys party it up right! The only thing I could live without is Chucky's. You are such good parents for letting them choose that place . . .
